SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) - With students returning to class soon, what are the fashion trends parents need to be aware for back to school shopping?
Teens, teachers, and boutique owners all agree the biggest fashion trend in schools is relaxed and casual.
Sadie Cherney with Clothes Mentor in Greenville says for teen girls that translates to "Athleisure-wear and bohemian styles."
"They're really looking for great name brand leggings like Nike, Underarmor, Lululemon, as well as bohemian looks, the really want to see bell bottoms, flared peasant tops," Cherney said.
For teen boys it is all about the shoes and name brands, or anything endorsed by stars like Lebron James.
Parents just need to make sure they check the schools dress code for rules on leggings and shorts.
