The inaugaral True Love Night of Style fashion event at Kramerville’s Urban Tree on Thursday night was buzzing with excitement.
The do attracted a number of fashion lovers and self-proclaimed experts, who put their best foot forward as they prepared for the fashion extravaganza.
Among the elements that made the event enjoyable and worth mentioning were the indoor chill room, under beautiful lighting, and the outdoor sitting arrangement under the stars.
The people who showed up on the night made the event even more glamorous.
The likes of K Naomi, Khanyi Mbau and Mojak Lehoko graced the event, dressed to the nines in their interpretation of glam.
Zikhona Sodlaka was one of the guests who stood out. She looked like a beautiful African warrior with her bald head.
Her friend and fellow actress Lusanda Mbane also rocked the natural look. These two ladies proved once again that African beauty is a real thing.
The fashion show was a treat, offering innovative creations from an array of Mzansi’s best designers and respected creators, such as Gert-Johan Coetzee and Duo Quiteria & George.
However, what guests found odd about the event was the “buy your own drinks” policy. Yes, the invitation did state the only drink served would be a sponsored alcoholic beverage but what happens when some of your guests don’t enjoy that particular drink? And what about your non-drinking guests?
In spite of this, it was party until midnight after the models had strutted their stuff on the ramp, showing off collections that included everything from earth tones to loud, popping colours and ballgowns.
Musical performances from a cappella group Beyond Vocals and surprise act Lady Zamar completed the event.
