Though Halloween doesn't officially arrive until Wednesday, the weekend leading up to Oct. 31 was packed with festivities in celebration of the spooky holiday. From Los Angeles to New York City, our favorite fashion people dressed up in their best and most over-the-top costumes, from the Gerber-Crawford family as famous '80s rockers to Harry Styles channeling '70s-era Elton John — statement rhinestone glasses and all. (In Styles's case, they're Gucci, obviously.)
This year in particular, the style set did not hold back on the glitter, sequins and sparkle — see Alexa Chung's mermaid tail and Paris Hilton's iridescent mash-up — and plenty turned to Egypt for inspiration. For example, both Christian Siriano and Shiona Turini dressed up as Cleopatra, while Natalia Vodianova transformed into an Egyptian goddess. Plus, pop culture and film were mainstays among Halloween costumes as they are every year, with Kendall Jenner as a fembot, Devon Windsor as Britney Spears, Rachel Zoe as Elvira from "Scarface" and much more.
