Honestly? With all the recent speculation about Tyler, The Creator’s personal life, we’d straight up forgotten that he has a clothing brand, GOLF. (Golf Wang, to be precise; named after the rapper’s one-time hip hop collective.)
But on Friday, Tyler reminded us that he’s a multitalented artist, announcing the visual lookbook for his Autumn/Winter 2018 collection of his Golf le Fleur line, via Twitter.
Well, if by “fashion show” you mean fashion film with a forest as its backdrop (filmed in Eugene, Oregon, though it appears to be on a staged set) then yes, that’s what it’s considered, Tyler—especially when it’s as surreally cinematic and adorably hilarious as this one. Seriously, did Wes Anderson film this shit? After all, we have angels (or is that a wood nymph?) and joggers and little lambs on leashes, oh my!
We also have fellow rapper A$AP Rocky repping for his friend’s brand (though not purported boyfriend Jaden Smith), which blends 1980s prep with 1960s color schemes—think midcentury nostalgia meets subversive nerd meets hip hop star-turned-middle-aged mom or dad. (Sidebar: Stop trying to make socks and sandals happen, y’all.)

I know: that sounds like a lot—and it is. But all in all, it works. The color schemes are muted yet fresh, as are the florals, which cleverly read like camouflage in the woodland environment. And while layering may be a new fascination for the California-born entertainer, what Tyler’s layered this season is a quirky but very wearable collection of primarily unisex separates that would work well beyond winter.

The collection drops on Monday, December 17. If you’re a fan of the collection, be at GOLF’s online store at 10am. sharp, EST, or check it in person at the GOLF flagship on Wednesday, December 19 from 11am-7pm.
