Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán’s life has already served as inspiration for number of movies and TV shows, and now it’s also inspiring a fashion line.
One of Guzmán’s ten known children, Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán, has decided to capitalize on her father’s brutal legacy with her own clothing label.
In 2016, Alejandrina reportedly sought to register trademarks for “El Chapo” and “El Chapo Guzmán.” Since then, the 37-year-old has begun promoting her new brand “El Chapo 701,” inspired by the infamous leader of the Sinaloa Cartel.
Though no products are currently in production, the drug lord’s offspring has already launched an official website and social media accounts for the label featuring a wide array of stock images of potential products.
Future goods include all manner of clothing from jeans to tailored suiting, as well as liquor, jewelry, footwear and paper goods.
The site describes the brand as, “a living legend with a revolutionary essence,” and the kingpin as “a humble seller of oranges with many goals and a great ambition.”
