Italians know how to throw the best dinner parties. It’s just part of la dolce vita! Case in point: this weekend, Etro threw a private dinner to celebrate its latest Fall 2019 collection, shown during Milan Fashion Week—and it was heavy on the Milanese charm, of course. Womenswear designer Veronica Etro hosted a bevy of fashion names at the stylish restaurant Bice, including models Gemma Ward, He Cong, and Alek Wek (all three dressed in the label), Vogue’s Hamish Bowles, Vogue Mexico’s Karla Martinez, and many more.
For the evening, Etro transformed Bice—where fashion insiders often flock for apertivo during the shows—into a space that perfectly represented the Italian label’s signatures. The elegant tablescape featured a vibrant red paisley table cloth (a signature print of the house), red glassware, and pale pink floral arrangements. Guests sipped wine and nibbled on a variety of dishes (homemade pasta, naturally, was on the menu.) The dinner provided a sweet escape from the week’s otherwise hectic schedule; and after, guests rested up and prepared to end the Milan rat race in style.
