Paul D. Salemi of Sharon, at 81, Fashion Carpet owner - Boston Herald

Paul D. Salemi of Sharon, formerly of Canton, died Friday at home. He was 81.

He was born in Cambridge and raised in Quincy, graduating from Quincy High School.

Mr. Salemi served in the Navy.

He was owner and operator of Fashion Carpet in Norwood for many years.

He lived in Sharon for more than 20 years and previously lived in Canton for many years.

Mr. Salemi enjoyed spending winters in Boca Raton, Fla., and was a member of the Boca Resort and Club.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Murley); three daughters, Lisa Dymond of Middleboro, Melanie Hatfield of Lewiston, Maine, Vicki Rizzo of Tewksbury; and seven grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon.

Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

Arrangements by Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, Canton.
